Why DURC?
Since 1987, DURC has provided pre-professional training to students in an environment designed to simulate the conditions and standards of professional dance companies. DURC is dedicated to nurturing talent, fostering creativity, and empowering dancers to reach their full potential. DURC members have the necessary skills, talent, and training for acceptance in summer dance intensives, collegiate dance programs, and professional teams and companies.
The impact of DURC also reaches beyond the dance studio. DURC teaches responsibility, reliability, and dedication to dancers of all ages. Members are multi-taskers, juggling school, dance, and other extracurricular activities that result in well-rounded students. Not only does DURC excel at pre-professional dance training, but also at preparing members with key life skills. DURC also imparts the value of community service and involvement through participation in local events, performances, and service projects.
